What is the National Subsidy Card?
- The National Subsidy System (NSS) is aimed to support Omani Citizens benefit from the Fuel Subsidy that the Government of Oman provides.
- The Fuel Subsidy is provided to all deserving Omani Nationals so that they are not affected due to the changing Fuel prices. The Fuel Subsidy is applicable only to Mogas 91 Fuel Type and at 400 liters per month.
- The Fuel Subsidy comes into effect whenever the price of Mogas 91 Fuel is 180 Baisa or above as per the price set by the Government of Oman monthly.

Kindly visit www.nss.gov.om and register your information. Make sure that you select Shell Oman as your Fuel Subsidy Card provider and choose which station from the widely distributed Shell Service Stations in Oman to collect your card from.

What are the criteria for getting a National Subsidy Card (NSS)?
The Fuel Subsidy is applicable to all Omani Nationals who meets below criteria set by the Government of Oman:
- Above 18 years of age.
- Own a Vehicle or a Boat.
- Total Monthly Income not exceeding OMR 950.
- The Fuel Subsidy is only for Mogas 91(M91) Fuel Type.

How Can I collect my Shell Fuel Card after applying?
You will receive an SMS confirming that your Shell Fuel Subsidy Card is ready for collection. Please head to a Shell service station to collect it upon presenting your ID card and paying OMR 1 to collect the Shell Fuel Subsidy Card. For card activation visit www.nss.gov.om after 24 hours from collecting your Shell Fuel Subsidy Card its activation status.

If your card gets canceled, kindly note that you need to apply for a new card through NSS website www.nss.gov.om.
