The product undergoes rigorous testing, adhering to industry standards and Shell's proprietary tests³, ensuring cleanliness and engine performance recovery.

There are several stages of testing before we are ready to introduce a new product to our customers. This process begins with the conception of an idea and extends through the delivery of the fuel, culminating in its availability at the pumps. The initial round of testing primarily occurs in the laboratory, where we explore a wide range of formulations. The most promising formulation then undergoes bench-engine testing, wherein an engine is removed from a vehicle and operated under tightly controlled test conditions to minimize experimental variables.

Following this, the fuel is tested in an actual vehicle on a rolling road, also known as a chassis dynamometer.
