Commenting on this agreement, Mehdi Al Abduwani, Chief Executive Officer at NFC, said: “We are delighted to ink the agreement with Shell Oman to replenish with bunkers to our fleet vessels at all Oman ports”. NFC with 8 vessels in their current fleet of vessels, is expected to serve more than 12 routes (current & prospective) locally and regionally with High Speed Crafts and ROPAX vessels. It is expected that additional vessels will be inducted to the fleet in line with NFC’s strategic objectives and Vision.

National Ferries Company S.A.O.C is a State-owned, National Carrier for Maritime Trade offering Passengers, Vehicles and Cargo transportation services between various Omani Ports. NFC is a significant contributor to the Trade, Tourism, Maritime Transport & related Infrastructure development in the Sultanate of Oman. The exceptional challenges of the long coastline of the Sultanate, which is about 3,165 km long, makes the ferry service a necessity for the citizens & visitors alike as it provides vital links between ports and save travelling time. 

NFC currently offers scheduled services between Muscat – Khasab, Shinas – Khasab, Khasab – Lima, Shinas – Dibba, Khasab – Dibba, Shinas – Lima, Lima - Dibba and Shannah – Masirah Island. NFC also operates regionally between Khasab – Qeshm Island, Khasab – Bandar Abbas in the Straits of Hormuz and Muscat - Chabahar.
