Shell Oman concludes #Journey2Remember campaign in celebration of 47th National Day

Muscat, Oman – bShell Oman concluded a week-long campaign for the 47th National Day which featured a 1965 Corvette which visited some of Oman’s remarkable landmarks and highlighted the Sultanate’s story of growth, progress, and diverse beauty Salim Al Amri and Hussain Al Bahrani, employees of Shell Oman, took the classic red corvette on a journey passing by 47 Shell Service Stations to spread the joy and spirit of the occasion with members of the community.

Among the key cities the team visited on their journey are: Muscat, Sur, Nizwa, Suhar & Al Buraimi. Throughout their journey, the team covered several topics ranging from tourism, heritage, people, economic development and road safety. The team also distributed Oman flags and gifts that were specially prepared in keeping with the #Journey2Remember campaign theme and the national day spirit. The journey was navigated using Shell App to help the team plan their route and locate Shell Service Stations on their way. The journey was covered on social media through live streams as well as photos and videos of the daily activities that were published on Instagram and Facebook and received great response.
Salim Al Amri, one of the pilots of the journey and Asset Management Advisor in Shell Development Oman commented, “It was an indescribable honor and privilege to be joining the rest of the country in celebrating the foresight and inspirational leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said. The #Journey2Remember campaign has been heart-warming; as both nationals and residents of the Sultanate came forward to celebrate and share in our journey. It was also an incredible experience as we got to visit touristic and economic development landmarks, and to meet people from different willayats around Oman. We had also covered other important topics like road safety and visiting Shell’s social investment projects around the Sultanate like the solar schools in Nizwa and Al Buraimi.”
