Acts as integrator among different Finance Operations teams to ensure compliant treatment and reporting.\u003C/li\u003E\n\u003Cli\u003EPrepares the quarterly and annual local and statutory financial statements (Statement of Financial Position, Statement of Comprehensive Income and Statement of Changes in Equity). Ensures on-time and accurate financial statements are submitted externally.\u003C/li\u003E\n\u003Cli\u003EPrepares the annual corporate governance report and other reportorial requirements to the Board and Audit and Risk Committee (ARC) such as Related Party transactions and plan, Appointment of Auditors, and other relevant reporting as may be requested by the ARC/Board.\u003C/li\u003E\n\u003Cli\u003EPrepares and submits financial-related disclosures to Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) on-time and accurately.\u003C/li\u003E\n\u003Cli\u003ESupports the month-end financial closing process for Shell Oman Marketing (SOM) by reviewing the Trial Balance and coordinating issue resolution if needed. Prepares analysis of Balance Sheet account reconciliation and coordinates corrections where needed.\u003C/li\u003E\n\u003Cli\u003EResponsible for ensuring relevant Group and Statutory financial governance frameworks and financial controls and policies are adequately complied with and operated effectively by all relevant teams (business, offshore and onshore teams). Ensures compliance to the SOM Corporate Manual of Authorities (MoA), and when needed, proposes updates to the MoA for consideration by the Board.\u003C/li\u003E\n\u003Cli\u003EOptimize cash flow and funding management by analyzing SOM’s working capital trends and forecasts, and by working closely with partner banks and relevant Finance Operations teams to minimize financing cost while ensuring healthy liquidity position by SOM. Supervise the daily cash flow forecasting, executes the monthly funding for working capital, corporate credit card process and bank guarantees issuance.\u003C/li\u003E\n\u003Cli\u003ESupports accurate and on-time submission of tax returns and subsequent payment of tax dues (collection of refunds in case of VAT refunds). The position prepares the withholding tax calculations, while coordinating with relevant Finance Operations teams for the annual income tax, VAT and Tax assessments.\u003C/li\u003E\n\u003Cli\u003EPrepares and monitors payment requests of government license fees, board sitting and remuneration and other Controller-related invoice payments.\u003C/li\u003E\n\u003Cli\u003ELeads the coordination of external and internal audit cycles. To achieve this, the position has the critical task of ensuring the control framework is operated effectively by relevant teams on daily basis. This is a leadership role that integrates multiple stakeholders in Finance onshore, Finance offshore, business and several external parties.\u003C/li\u003E\n\u003Cli\u003EThe Corporate Finance Accountant is accountable for delivery of tax and treasury functions and requires skill in stakeholder management among others.\u003C/li\u003E\n\u003C/ul\u003E\n\u003Ch3\u003EKey Challenges:\u003C/h3\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EThe role requires accounting and tax technical expertise supported by several teams and experts in the Shell Group, the successful candidate needs to have the Experience:\u003C/h3\u003E\n\u003Cul\u003E\n\u003Cli\u003EDegree in Finance or Accounting and/or an MBA, along with a professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, CIMA), and a minimum of 5 years of recent, relevant experience.\u003C/li\u003E\n\u003Cli\u003EExperience in audit or tax firms is preferred.\u003C/li\u003E\n\u003Cli\u003EStrong technical skills in accounting, corporate governance, tax and treasury.\u003C/li\u003E\n\u003Cli\u003EProven record in meeting deadlines and in delivering results under pressure.\u003C/li\u003E\n\u003Cli\u003EExperience in working effectively in cross-cultural teams located in different countries that requires managing stakeholder virtually.\u003C/li\u003E\n\u003Cli\u003ESelf-starter and able to work effectively with unstructured data.\u003C/li\u003E\n\u003Cli\u003EProven record in delivery of process improvements or projects.\u003C/li\u003E\n\u003Cli\u003EGood communication and interpersonal skills.\u003C/li\u003E\n\u003Cli\u003EExperience using GSAP or similar accounting platforms is preferred.\u003C/li\u003E\n\u003Cli\u003EExcellent Excel and Power BI skills and preference for knowledge
