Shell names Global best retailers and Shell sales force
Originally launched in 11 countries in 2006, the People Make the Difference Real program is now in its fourth year with 700 delegates from 64 countries participating at the conference in Kuala Lumpur.
The People Make the Difference Real program is aimed at raising the skills and competencies of retailers and their front-line staff who interact with customers at Shell retail sites.
The Retail site winners from Oman are Shell Airport & Shell Ghobra Service station for top two stations in Oman.
From the Shell Sales force winners, Kit Arvin Bermudez became Best District Manager and Mohammed Muqaibal and Jon Cuadra were named Best Territory Managers in the Pakistan-Oman Market Unit. The award recognises their achievement of consistently delivering outstanding operational excellence results while making the difference real for customers visiting Shell retail sites in their region.
Speaking at the awards ceremony, John Bullock, Executive Vice President for Shell’s Global Retail business said, “The People Make the Difference Real conference places our excellent staff, retailers and valued customers at the heart of the business.”
“Helping, assisting and informing motorists is just as important as the fuels we sell and it is the hundreds of thousands of dedicated staff at over 44,000 sites across the globe that deliver that first class customer service every day.”
Shell uses the annual conference to help share thoughts and ideas about customer service across its network in over 80 countries. Retailers from as far as Russia, Chile, Canada and Australia attended the event. The next year’s event will be held in the Italian city of Rome.
