Fatma makes Shell proud

Fatma Al-Siyabi of Shell Oman won the 2008 BIZPRO Award for Young Omani Achievers.

It was a time to jubilate for the entire Shell Oman team at the recently held 2008 NTI Bizpro Awards. Fatma Al-Siyabi of Shell Oman won the 2008 BIZPRO Award for Young Omani Achievers. At a glittering function held at Grand Hyatt she was recognised and rewarded for her outstanding achievement with a trophy and a scholarship of 2500 R.O from NTI.

BIZPRO Young Achievers Awards have been introduced in Oman by NTI to recognise talented Omanis who have displayed initiative and innovation in their pursuit towards achieving excellence in a leadership capacity and can serve as role models & mentors for their peers and the younger generation. The selection process involved a nomination, a written test and a presentation to the panel of judges. Participants were judged on the basis of their management aptitude and business acumen. Fatma did exceedingly well in this process. Her talk on 'Personality development & Career advancement' was very well received by the audience.

“Fatma has displayed extraordinary passion and dedication in her work and has made significant contribution in the growth of Shell's lubricant plant in the last five years. Her leadership has steered the plant to excellence in volume growth, excellent customer service and stakeholder satisfaction. As an Omani woman, she has balanced her role as a spouse, mother and a thorough professional. She has displayed excellent behavioural maturity in surmounting the challenges and work pressures and stood steady for her team and colleagues.” said Mr. Raman Sidhu, Lubricants Supply Chain Manager of Shell Oman.

Fatma joined Shell Oman in 2002 with a background in Finance in the Supply Chain function with very little experience of the world of logistics and manufacturing. In just five years she steadfastly developed into a fine leader at Shell Oman and displayed exemplary skills in delivering an outstanding performance in the field of planning, stakeholder management and customer service. She is currently the Planning Manager in the Supply Chain function and sits on the Supply Chain Management Team.
