Transport Planning Analyst – Oman

The main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and annually review the Transport Tariff plan and follow-up on the upload into SAP
  • Updates the local optimum tool for the various supply points in Oman and update the fleet plan for implementation by OPT
  • Review the distribution operations at micro level and suggest improvements and cost reduction measures, without compromising the operational standards
  • Review and develop road transport improvements in Shell Oman operations and suggest ways to adhere to latest HSE standards at least cost
  • Provide the transport rates to marketing personnel for various tenders
  • Provide Distribution support to review and improve customer service levels
  • Generate periodic statistics on KPI monitoring for distribution and suggest means of meeting the KPIs
  • Be focal point for MIS and provide timely returns in terms of monthly and quarterly updates to P&A focal point
  • Quarterly review of customer tariffs for each depot along with other KPI’s
  • Ensure incorporation of the distribution plans in distribution T&R
  • Support T&R process for transport operations in Oman
  • Manage SLA review meetings with COBs and maintain MOMs
  • Ensure accuracy of secondary transport costs in OPMIS.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

  • University Graduate with knowledge and experience of Distribution/ supply chain operations.

Distribution Business Planning Manager – Oman & UAE

The main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead the Sales & Operations Planning Process for Oman
  • Support the Supply and Distribution Manager regarding project business proposals, feasibility studies and project management
  • Develop plans including economic analysis for investment or divestment decision of Distribution managed assets or other projects as required by business partners
  • Ensure Supply and Distribution strategy/plans are incorporated in the country master plan and reflected in the annual business budget
  • Liaison for Supply & Distribution issues with government authorities in Oman (i.e. Oman Refinery Petrochemical Company and Ministry of Oil and Gas)
  • Focal point of the Distribution change management process
  • Focal point for governance and control matters
  • Identify opportunities of optimizing the Distribution operations.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

  • University degree with qualifications in Engineering/Applied Sciences and/or a Business degree with 5 years of professional experience
  • Preferably a minimum of 3 years of Distribution experience
  • Having a financial knowledge or MBA will definitely help
